The Effect of Terror on Society in the United Kingdom
We now live in a world dominated by fear. What I want to discuss is whether this fear is proportional to the issues and problems we face.
Step one – Watch Zeitgeist a documentary movie that is designed to give us the other side of the story of our world.
The point of the film is to uncover some fundamental and worrying truths about our society. It deals with one massively important issue – the extent of government control. Each day hundreds of millions of us read the news. We see headlines quoting “Terrorism” and “fear”. How much of this is real and how much is manufactured by the media?
Anyone who has even a slightly outward perspective will have heard that the global economy is facing a so-called “credit crunch”. In the UK, the apparent affect of this is bankrupt banks coupled with falling house prices and consumer spending. Yet, I wonder which way round does this work? If you went out four months ago to buy a house that you DECIDED was worth £250,000, how, four months later is that house worth any less to you? It has the same number of bathrooms, the same location, perhaps even a new lick of paint. The reason, perhaps, is that you are told that it should. I accept that our UK banks had been securing their own mortgages on bonds linked to the US sub-prime market. This has failed pathetically and as a result, lenders cannot offer the same deal to UK home owners that they would have last year. UK citizens’ salaries on the other hand – have not been affected. The ability for an individual to pay back their loan has not changed and on average – no one is any greater risk to the banks than they were before.
The documentary very concisely and adeptly deconstructs all major religions in the recorded history of mankind down to some very simple astrology. The Son of God of example, who died on the cross, relates perfectly to the position of the SUN on the CRUX (or cross – one of the major constellations) between December 22nd and 24th. This THREE DAY period, the time when the sun hangs lowest in the sky (dies on the cross), is in fact the day before (December25th) the SUN RISES again into the HEAVENS – i.e is Resurrected. [I am writing from memory here; ensure you watch the documentary to get all the incredible facts.] The Christian religion, it appears, is an incredibly accurate replica of the Ancient Egyptian Religion of Ra(Sun God)/Horus vs. Set (God of Dark/Evil).
In the Dark ages, those wielding the power commanded the religions. People lived in fear because they believed that if they committed sin, they were dammed to hell. Communities would rat out non conformists as witches or heretics and they would be dealt with swiftly and completely. The world has changed. We are now a world who can communicate globally, share ideas, and as far as we are concerned, speak freely. We have instant access, via the internet, to millions of people’s opinions. What we must be careful of is the extents that those in power have to go to maintain a stable society. Zeitgeist suggests that because religion has become less and less a controlling factor in our lives, the only alternative is to create a new kind of fear. A kind of fear that would make sensible, middle aged citizens think it is OK that our government can hold for 28 days, without charge, suspects that it believes are involved in terrorist activity. That the same level headed individuals could agree that compulsory, smart card equipped ID cards. Imagine this scenario and question your view that “you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide”:
Our current government is not corrupt – all measures are being put in place to genuinely protect the safety and security of ordinary people in the UK. We end up with:
Now, this is brilliant: low crime; sensible, relevant taxes; prevention of payment of illegal immigrants and the eradication of benefit cheats. What happens if there is a regime change; when these powers are put to a bad use?
People of Britain – wake up. Look at how these laws and the power of the media affect your life and your decisions then ask yourself: How much of this is real?
Ask why the 1st, 2nd and 7th Towers of the World Trade Centre collapsed as though demolished. They fell at almost freefall, perfectly into the plots that they occupied. Now ask why, on 7/7 in the UK, the emergency services were conducting a full scale demo into how they would respond to an attack, by terrorists, on the tube, at the involved stations BEFORE any of the bombs went off.
Read the news and watch TV, just be sceptical of how most of the events you witness are controlled by a handful of men. It is in the financial interest of all of them for their wars to continue while the public are afraid. We should all remember, before it is too late, that the many are mightier than the few.
I would absolutely love to hear any comments for or against the arguments and issues I have put forward. Please log-in and have your say. I think these issues are particularly important to our generation for we come of age at a very worrying time.
